Claudio Zilio

Claudio Zilio is a Mechanical Engineer. He is full professor at the University of Padova, where he teaches the course of “Applied thermodynamics” and “Thermal systems”. He has been involved with several European research projects, primarily concerning Refrigeration Technology and Heat Transfer and he is the author or co-author of more than 200 papers (more than 150 are available in Scopus or Web of Science) dealing with topics such as thermodynamics of inverse cycles, heat transfer, both theoretical and technological aspects, energy applications related to HVAC of buildings, refrigeration for foodstuff preservation, and refrigerating equipment. He is a member of the Editorial Board of ASHRAE Science and technology for the Building Environment journal. He is secretary of International Institute of Refrigeration Commission B2. From April 2023 he is the President of AiCARR - Italian Association for Air Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration.

Filippo Busato

Filippo Busato is a Management Engineer. He is an Associate professor at the Telematic University Mercatorum in Rome, where he teaches the courses “Thermodynamics and heat transfer” and “Energy savings for the built environment”. Involved in several Italian and European research projects, he has published over 100 papers in national and international journals and Congresses proceedings, and 5 books, in the field of innovative and efficient low carbon technologies for buildings’ HVAC, Heat Island effect mitigation, and green roof systems. Ex President of AiCARR from 2020 to 2023, he divides his working life between academia and professional engineering services in the field of HVAC systems, industrial energy management and Acoustics. He currently serves as President of the BoD of AGSM AIM Smart Solutions Srl, a municipally owned company operating in the field of Energy Performance Contracts for public buildings and smart cities.
